Coast to Coast Carports - Installation Review from Phoenix, Arizona

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Our port had one installation date delay. Right before delivery we were told our color choice wasn't available. The substitute metal was a reasonably close match. We have been trying for 7 months to get the roofcap repaired. Apparently paying for a certified structure and having a warranty is meaningless to Coast to Coast. Filed complaint with BBB that went unanswered. Customer satisfaction is not a priority for this company.

Coast to Coast Carports - Roll Up Door Review from Bellevue, Washington

I waited 7 months for the delivery. Every time I called they had a different excuse. They waited till the last minute to tell me I couldn't have the size I requested. The workers asked me for $100 cash to put the roll up door on the side I requested. The roll up door is dented and the garage portion leaks. Also at the last minute they said they didn't have my color even though supposedly it was loaded on the truck the prior week.

Never received carport and rude customer service!!!!

Ordered in October, waited until after Christmas and never heard one word from them I called. The rude customer service lady said they didn't have 12ga and I asked when they would get some she went on to say she did not know and would not know until 2 days before she got it, I said I want a deposit refund she said well from experience their policy is not to refund deposits. I told her well it is their problem they they don't have supplies to fulfill my order and have no idea when they will be getting them. She said well you will have to talk to the person you ordered it from. She was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with! However I did call the person I ordered from it was a dealership that sold this brand of carport they were very nice and professional and sent me back a refund. We bought our first carport from Coast to Coast and even after reading all the negative reviews, we still decided to order from them because our first experience was great. This experience was a total let down and completely changed my opinion on Coast to Coast and their whole customer service they were awful!!!z,

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, TERRIBLE INSTALLATION

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I highly encourage anyone seeking a carport or shed to avoid this company. The installers arrived 9 hours late without any prior notification. I could;t get anyone at the HQ to return my calls during the day inquiring where their guys were. They arrived at 19:00 to start work in a residential neighborhood, forcing us to cancel plans at our house with guests, as well as keeping the neighbors up until 23:00. Then asked to sleep in the driveway and to be fed… Came home the next day to a very unlevel shed, scraps littered all about, the garage door did not operate and the final insult was that they had pulled all of the trash out of their vehicle and dumped it in our driveway. I am completely appalled not only by the above, terrible, execution of service provision but also by the fact both parties: the dispatcher and the crew constantly set about blaming the other for the screw up. Bad business, not a pleasure.

Unsatisfied, have not received the 2 car ports I ordered over 3 months ago.

The lady I purchased these from told me they would be delivered in 6 to8 weeks. I use these for Sheep shelter and since they have not been delivered I have lost enough lambs to have paid for the shelters. I'm telling everyone to not purchase these. It is the biggest ripoff I have ever been a part of. The only people you can get ahold of is a phone service and they told me they don't know when they will be delivered until 3 days prior. They did tell me a gentleman in Ellis Co. Has been waiting for over 6 months and his is supposed to be on the same delivery as mine. The better business bureau should get involved and have them pay for our losses.

Ordered September 5th 2014 was told they were behind so would be installed 6-8 weeks. November came around called them they said we don't know when it will be done. We literally pestered them every week. FINALLY here we are January 14th 2015 and it's been put up! Don't waste your money go to a different brand carport. They are faster for sure !

No CARPORT after 5 months

I ordered a 22x22x16 garage in June and to date on Halloween Oct 31 I still don't have my building. I keep getting the run around about not having the 12 gauge, then they want me to pull the permits. I went to building and permits for my state. They inform me that if I pull the permits I will be responsible for any defects or damage to neighbors property if the building failed for any reason. Out of pocket so far $1800 down pymt, $250 tractor rental to lift roll-up door. Now they want me to pay for permits $359 when I was told they take care of all that for me and was included as part of deal??? I have been calling to talk with supervisor about refund, but I am getting the run-around. Not happy

No carport after 12 weeks, no refund of deposit

We ordered a carport Sept. 5th. They 60 day delivery time. No carport. Asked for a refund of our deposit, they said to get it from the middleman, who is no longer in bysiness. Small claims court here we come..these people are lying, thieving *** scammers...DON'T buy anything from Coast to Coast Carports! My wife contacted them and the woman who answered was completely rude...kept saying it will be done next week, everytime we call...next week you are priority....we do have a receipt for our deposit, from Coast to Coast, so, we'll see what a judge has to say about our money...

Non delivery of garage

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I Placed an order for a 24'X30' garage with a deposit of $629.00(Debit Card) on June 26 2014 , and was informed that delivery of same would be in 4-6 weeks and could possibly take as long as 8 weeks (August 26,2014) It is now October 13, 2014 and all I have received is a multitude of excuses as to why Coast to Coast has not honored their contract , I will not accept their position that a refund of $629.00 cannot be given . In my estimation they have lied to me ,given phony excuses and are not honorable . In the very, least Coast To Coast has breached their contract to me and have failed to deliver the garage as agreed upon. What I have done is, contact my Credit Union and initiated a formal dispute to retrieve my deposit, this will be a lengthy process , but will at least take away the notion that as a consumer I have to believe in the "no refund policy" stated by their agents. I encourage others to also dispute their deposit , via their banks , credit unions etc.

Timely manner...

I ordered one of the small carports from a dealer and couldn't get an answer on a delivery timeframe. After paying(the 10% deposit) and calling CoasttoCoast they said 8 weeks!! Really! who plans that far ahead for a small, easily assembled carport? So I asked if they could do it sooner or at least get it to me sooner and I'll put it together... Still about 8 weeks she says. I can't tell you if the quality of the building is good or bad, but if I would have known if was going to take so long... I would have ordered it from some other company or much sooner!

No carport

Ordered on 6/3/14. As of 8/13 still no carport. Called on 8/12 and no return call. No written cancelllation like it states on invoice. No refund of deposit either. Poor business practice. Told always through Kansas, what a line of bull. Do not order from them. Can never reach a real human. Conveniently always busy. Can only leave a message to be ignored. Wow. Sad. Really tried to give them time to provide the service I asked for. 11 weeks is too long. I guess theydo not need the money or the business. My neighbor that is 200 feet away got hers after 8 weeks. I guess she spent more money than I was going to.

Worst company ever! NO customer service whatsoever!

Ordered our carport on May 16th, 2014...it's August 28th and no carport. The crew was supposed to be here yesterday to install the carport between 8:00am and 10:00am. By 3:30pm; no call, no contact from Coast to Coast. Tried to call the service rep and her boss but couldn't get anyone.

Leave a message...no call backs!

Worst company ever! Shouldn't be in business!!

Ordered June 11, 2014 was told 4-6 weeks. It's now August 21, 2014 still no a-frame barn. Calling Amex to report shady company and refund my deposit!

Guest

I ordered mine on May 10. Called on June 18.

Told they were waiting on product then switched to lack of crews. Told it would be another 2 to 4 weeks. That time has passed and my calls today, ended with no answers, no shed and apparently no recourse.

Is Coast to Coast trying to alienate every possible person on Earth by their shoddy business practices?

I am beginning to think this company is a guppy trying to play business in the big ocean and failing miserably.

Slow To Install, Nonexistant Customer Service

I ordered a garage from Coast to Coast Carports in December 2012, and was promised install within 3 to 4 weeks. I had a garage on the premises that was being replaced, so had it demolished in a hurry to meet the install schedule. Then the fun began. 4 weeks passed and no call from Coast to Coast, so I called them and kept getting the run around. Finally on week 7 they did arrive and erected the new building, but when they finished they handed me a bill for $1,000 more than the contracted price. I spoke to the local dealer and we ended up splitting the difference, as the error in price calculation was on the part of his sales person. Then in January of 2014, within the one year warranty period, I noticed that one of the panels was beginning to rot out. This is a defect in the galvanization, so should have been covered in the warranty. I called Coast to Coast to have them send someone out to replace the rotted panel, but here it is, nearly July 2014 and they still keep telling me that they have no crews available to come and replace it. In January, 2014, I spoke to a woman named Cherice, who no longer works there, and sent her photos of the damage. She stated over the phone that the repair was approved, but that was the last I heard from her. I spoke to her replacement, who also is no longer working for the company, and she looked it up and also said that it was an approved repair, but still did nothing to scredule the repair. This has been the story ever since, with the latest being a call that I received after leaving a voice mail to find out when they were sending a crew out to fix it. This call was from a sales rep who didn't even know who she was calling, or why, even though I had left a detailed message. During this call I ended up asking to speak to a supervisor and spoke to Tonya, who treated me rather rudely. I asked if she could please send me something in writing stating that the repair was covered, and that they would send someone to repair it, and she said that she would (just to get me off the phone I am guessing), but so far, nothing has arrived that proves that this conversation, just like all the others before, ever took place. This was a week ago. Email is instant... During the winter, the excuse was that they did not have any jobs in the area, now they say they don't have the time to come replace the defective panel because they are too busy. The dealer came and looked at the damage and agreed that it was defective metal as well, and he called Coast to Coast and got the same treatment. He quit using them shortly after I purchased my building because of all the trouble he had with them, but sadly, it was too late for my purchase experience. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Ordered and paid a deposit on a Coast to Coast Carports structure over 7 months ago. The estimate for delivery was 6 to 8 weeks.

In that time I heard from the Coast to Coast company exactly 1 time in 7 months. I have heard from the dealer I ordered from, but they had about the same experience trying to get a commitment to deliver on the contract as I did. The dealer has offered all along to refund my deposit and did so today when I cancelled the order. Coast to Coast should be embarrassed, but I realize that this is simply following their business model.

Something like an airline selling seats they don't have. My sense is that they may complete orders that are close to whatever production facilities that may exist. But anything outside of that area they'll take orders on but expect to never deliver. Bad company, bad business, bad practices, bag of ridiculous excuses.

Fool Me Once, Shame On Me! How can the people that work for this company sleep at night?

Save the headache and look for someone local to you with a good reputation and check them out.

Still No Carport

Ordered a very simple 20 x 21 standard 12 gauge carport in May 2014. It is now September and I just got the latest phone call telling me they will NOT be here again. This is the "6th" time they have broken a installation appointment. I think they have a rotating excuse bin and I am now back to the "Trailer Broke Down" excuse (2nd time for this one). I have also had the "They forgot your building", "We are out of your color", "Our rail order didn't arrive" and "They ran into trouble with an Install" excuses. It's been 4 months now for a 6 to 8 week wait. Customer service is uncaring and unable to do anything at all. I truly wish I had found this site before I placed my order.
